CARVING THE NECKS IS ALWAYS FUN. you want to rough shape them before attaching to the sound board. The final shaping comes when the uke is all put together.
It does not take too long but its a delightful part of the process when art overcomes technical skill. These necks will be made to provide 1 1/2 width at the nut. I find the necks are just as fast and the B flat chord is a lot easier to make if you have a little more space between the strings.
