It began with a marvelous find and purchase of a treasure trove of master grade East Indian Rosewood. Then I got a package of wood and ancient elk bone from Finland, and finally a package of three new sets of ukulele wood from Luthiers Mercantile Intl.
More marvelous wood than I will ever be able to use. I will be offering much of it to other luthiers.

Just one of 50 sets of guitar backs. This would make a dreadnaught guitar back or a tenor uke back and two sides plus a concert back.
And a separate box came with interesting and very dense "Curly Birch", B. pendula, wood from Finland and a piece of very old bone from a Finn elk. Andrew has ordered a ukulele made with it. this will be an interesting build.
And then came another package from LMI with the following contents.
A set of Bwilhara, an Indian wood that I had not heard of .
Machiche, A So. American wood that looks lovely
And finally, Brazilian Tigerwood, a wood I find quite beautiful.
If that was not enough to make a great day, I got the tape off the bindings of Lynne's uke and got a look at what it will eventually look like. I like it.
