TODAY I SIGNED ABOARD FOR  A REMARKABLE ADVENTURE.  next July 21st I will be boarding a magnificent 160 foot schooner, the Zodiac, for a three day Ukulele cruise in the San Juan Islands.  We will cruise the beautiful waters of the San Juans, anchor in quiet coves for two evenings, Sail in the peaceful waters, hike the lovely islands, hopefully see the resident Orca whales, and all the while we will be playing ukuleles under the direction of a competent instructor and musician.  What fun,  The registration has just begun and already 6 of the 25 berths are sold.  There are several complete ukulele newcomers signed aboard so this would be a wonderful opportunity to learn to play,  Dean will provide challenges for all levels of uke skill.
If you have ever wanted to sail, or play the uke, or ever wanted to see the legendary San Juan Islands  this is your chance.

I took this picture of the Zodiac at her berth at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal all bundled up in her protective winter housing, but if you want to see this glorious historic schooner under full sail just google SCHOONER ZODIAC.  This is going to be great fun, sailing through the islands, anchoring in quiet coves for the evening as we play our ukuleles and enjoy  the sights and sounds of these magical islands.  I have been asked to share my knowledge of island  history, tell a few tales of my lifetime of cruising the islands and even talking a bit about building ukuleles and the wood that goes into them.  So take a look at the web site and the message below and consider joining me in July on the Zodiac.
