Not much time for ukulele work this weekend- we went to a wedding in the lovely old-fashioned town of Port Gamble.
It looks like old New England, on Puget Sound. Founded in 1853 by Pope and Talbot, a pioneering logging and sawmill company, the old company town is almost unchanged from those early days. The saw mill operated from 1853 to just recently and the town is still owned by the Company. Now it is a charming wedding venue on the Kitsap peninsula not far from Seattle.
We returned home Sunday afternoon in time to wet sand the tenors and put one application French Polish on the now dulled but smoothed instruments. Even one coat brought them back to shininess. Here is a look.
