WALKER AT THE GALLOUP SCHOOL

MANY OF YOU will remember the nice picture of Walker Van Wingerden and his grandpa  Ralph in my workshop a month or so ago.  Walker is now hard at work at the Galloup School of Lutherie and he was kind  enough to send me a number of pictures.  I think you will enjoy and perhaps envy a young man discovering the wonders of a great craft and potentially a  career..

Thank you, Brian, for taking such an interest in Walker's journey. He is having the time of his life, finally surrounded by people who appreciate and share his passion. He told me, "Everyday I come back to the cabin from the shop with such a feeling of accomplishment, mom". Can't ask for more than that! Seems as though he's picking things up at a fairly rapid pace....could it be in the genes? Really enjoyed your webside. What beautiful instruments you are turning out. A real treat for the eyes to be sure. Hope to make it up there some day to see them in person. Lisa VanWingerden
