This afternoon I had a pleasant visit from Roger who had purchased planetary geared tuners for his daughter's violin. Like Pegheds they must be installed using a 5 degree auger to cut the mounting hole at the same angle found on the tuners. He knew I had the proper auger and tools. I was happy to welcome him to the shop and offer what advice I could. Here he is hard at work installing the new geared tuners in the violin. The operation was a success I am happy to report.
