THIS WAS BUG SATURDAY in Bellingham. The first saturday of every month the Bellingham Ukulele Group meets at St. James Presbyterian Church for a three hour jam. The first hour is for brand new players. Amazingly there were a dozen new players, complete beginners. Then at 3:00 p.m. the experienced players arrive for two hours of fun, led by Terry Poth. Even on a beautiful and warm spring day we had about 70 players . Here Pat and Gail McDonald perform the piece they will play at their daughter's wedding in Hawaii next week.
Gail said they wanted to try it here to see if they could do it without crying. It was lovely, Pat had a tear in his eye.
