Here is the wood combination for Doug's new Concert.  Black Cherry, Western Red Cedar and Honduran Mahogany.

Getting ready to cut the channel for the sound hole rosette.

  A quick pass with the router and it is almost ready for the rope purfling.

After a liberal dose of shellac the purfling is installed.  The shellac prevents thin super glue from migrating into the wood and staining it.

Thank you Brian! It was such a joy to be with you and experience the amazing instruments you have created! It was soo interesting to see the intricate process you do for each amazing instrument. Thank you! I went home and had a wonderful time playing and learning my beautiful ukulele. It's sound is heavenly!!!
