NOTHING BUT SANDING  going on today, and there is not much of that process that makes a good photograph so I thought I would just take a picture of the tools involved in shaping, and preparing a neck,  I lined them up on the work table for you.
Picture
Starting at the right, a couple of rasps. Exacto knife, coarse sandpaper on a rubber cylinder, scraper, bow sander, sanding block, round rubber sanding devices, rubber eraser as sanding block. measuring device to determine thickness.
The three round things are rolls of sand paper with sticker on the back. Extremely handy. the grits are 180, 220 and 320.  I have sanded each uke through the 320,  Probably do a once-over with 400 and 600 and then start the French Polish process.
