I told you this Australian Blackwood would jump when the French Polish hit it.  Wow! this is really nice wood.  I just love the way the figure becomes more and more visible as each coat of finish is applied.  This is just the beginning.

Thats about as pretty as wood gets,  and I think the maple binding works nicely too'  When this is finished it will just glow.

I am simply amazed at how the Australian Blackwood pops when the finish is applied. I am very excited to have seen the construction in process, especially knowing it will come live with me and that I will use it until the next generation, after I am gone, will get to play this beautiful ukulele. Excellent Ike's are not owned. They are used and then passed on down to the next generation of lucky ukulele players. What a treat to know I will play this ukulele!

Steve, I am betting it will sound as good as it looks and know you and your following generations will love it.
