One of the most arduous tasks is smoothing the fret ends with this tiny file.  The ends must be rounded and smooth to the touch.  The file is very fine with one  smooth rounded edge so as not to damage the wood of the fret board.

We are putting the fret board on Debbie's tenor.  When in position, brads are driven through holes in the two empty fret slots to assure the board stays in the right place when glued and clamped.

I am shaping the heel cap and heel with the scraper.  this remarkable tool is perfect for the task.
