I got the clamps off of the third tenor yesterday and was pleased to have these last three tenors successfully boxed up. They are looking good. I have trimmed the excess overhangs from all of them and begun a preliminary sanding to get them in proper shape for the next step, the routing of the recess for the binding. Lots of ukes are made without binding and avoid this rather difficult step, but I think it is crucial to have a hardwood binding on a uke, It protects the tender edges and adds great beauty to an instrument. I will be showing you that process in the next couple of days if eating turkey does not get in the way. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I hope you take your ukes and play some of those great old holiday songs, Over the River and Through the Woods, or We gather together to ask the lords blessings. The holidays approach . Enjoy
