The final tasks were completed today, shaping of the neck, sanding everything through three grits of sand paper, installing side dots. It is time to start the French Polish.

Oops, I forgot to install the side dots on the fret board- no problem, not too late.
 put it in a padded vise and mark the spots with a sharp awl so the drill bit will not stray. |  Select the right sized drill bit and drill holes at each location about 3/16ths deep. I use an old fashioned hand drill because I can control it better than an electric drill in this delicate place. |
 Then insert a thin acrylic rod and cut it off flush. It is tight and the finish will keep it in place. |  And here they are, small but very visible when playing. Tomorrow begins the French Polish. |
