Here you find me whittling away at the tiny tone bars for Connie's tenor. Thats the light colored spruce soundboard beside me. Got them all made, for hers and for the redwood soundooard beside it that is going to Australia.
Then the challenge is to get them all glued and clamped on. This photois shows attaching ten of the twelve tone bars at one time. No room to get clamps on the last two, They will have to wait a few hours.
I only have enough clamps to do one at a time. Here is Connies soundboard, again with only ten tone bars clamped. I will get the rest done tomorrow. Now its time to shape the necks.
Here is the first one, roughed out. This will require lots of refining with scraper, knife, and sandpaper, but it looks good already.
Just got started on the second neck when it became Martini time. Tomorrow, first thing I will get it done.
But I had time to get the backs braced and in the Go Bar deck as the glue sets. These are instrument numbers 129 and 130. Bubinga on the left and east indian Rosewood on the right.
