A wonderful exhibit just opened at the Museum,  The history of the Fairhaven Hotel, curated by that local treasure Jeff Jewell.   The foundry pattern that I carved years ago is shown.
Picture
The wooden foundry pattern was made to create a bronze manhole cover for the Fairhaven Village Green.  I made it in 2003, before I was building ukuleles.

I glued basswood to a circular piece of plywood and carved the image on it.  The manhole cover was sand cast in bronze.  a fun project.

I think Paul Raines's tenor is about ready to be strung up.  This has been a fun one to build.

Notice the fret board markers, Rain Drops   --   Paul Raines,  -- Get it ???
