TODAY I turned the big 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece of cherry into this 1.5 inch diameter central post for my music stand. When finished this will be 27 inches tall and be supported by three twelve inch long legs. A 3/4 inch diameter hole will be drilled a ways down its length to accept the rack stem. So far so good!
