I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS TRIO OF TENORS built with some really nice koa for backs and sides. Two of them will have cedar tops from my special horde of ancient Western Red Cedar. The Blonde will have an Englemann Spruce top and an Alaska Cedar neck. I have some delicious highly figured maple for bindings on the cedar tops and some just spectacular Australian Blackwood binding for The Blonde. They are just now ready to be boxed up, meaning I am about to install the backs. Inspired by the tiny thin neck on Pat Madsens 1960 Martin Baritone I am going to shave these necks down to those measurements and with radiused fretboards they should be fast and slick to play. I have lots going on in my life just now so I am going to take my time with these three tenors and not allow myself to be rushed. When they are done I expect they will really sing.
