I was huge and bright, here it is just rising through the fir trees on the hill above us.
But down in the workshop progress continues. The French Polish on Linda's Christmas present is in the final stages, and the two new Kasha tenors now have their side sound ports completed and soon will be getting their backs attached.
As usual, the work table is filled with the tools of the moment. I religiously put away all tools that have been used but there is usually a clutter on this work table that accumulates during a day.
To catch up with the previous blog- Once the hole is cut you must shape it carefully with a sanding disc on the Dremel.
Roughly sand it out to the pencil line and then start carefully fitting the liner in. Repeated small strokes of the sanding disk and fitting trials with the oval ring will get you a very close fit.
Once it is in, superglue around the edge will keep it in.
A little carving down the high spots and some sanding and the job is completed. On to the next job, attaching the backs.
