The Side Sound Port goes in first.  And it needs an interior patch of thin maple veneer.

Heres the patch, with glue applied, not yet spread

And now it is applied, under that curved caul tightly clamped to the side.  Now I am stuck until the glue dries.
Picture
Waste not thy wood supply.  Here I am cutting veneer strips for seam patches for the back from some scraps.
Picture
And here is where they will go, to provide some insurance for that jointed back seam.

My trusty bag of bird shot applies plenty of weight on the wooden blocks holding the patches flat, but still waiting for the glue to dry, I turned to the fret ends.

Each of the sharp ends must be filed round and smooth with this tiny file made just for this purpose. By the time all 42 ends were smooth and slick the glue had dried on the sound hole patch.

So here is where it will go

And the Dremel will cut out the hole

And now to perfect the hole with a tiny sanding disk,

After careful fitting, it is in perfectly
And now its glued in with super glue
AND NOW LETS BOX IT UP

The back is clamped on so I can mark where the cross braces will come.  Then they are cut with a small saw. and notches cut with the exact knife.

Now for the glue,  and the clamps

And this baby is boxed up.  The back is on and it fit perfectly !

Was it not you who proclaimed that the seventh day was a day of rest?
