I DID A LITTLE WORK ON THE PINECONES TODAY AND THEN took my wife to dinner at a waterfront restaurant. What a lovely Sept. evening, very typical this time of the year.
Looking to the east, Mt. Baker rises above the foothills aglow in the rays of the setting sun.
But despite all the beauty I did get a little uke work done. Here I am trimming up the peg head sawing with a jeweler's saw the ragged edges of the "Pinecone" plate.
Here is one of the peg heads completed. Note the fancy saw job cutting around all of those crazy points. I am getting pretty good a a jeweler's saw. A minor touch up with a fine rasp and sandpaper and this part of the project is done.
