Well, the old are not really OLD, they don't even have their saddles and strings yet , but the three tenors are lined up on the right, the french polish almost completed. Just two or three coats of thinner solution now to really put the shine to them, then a couple of week to let the shellac harden and then a coat of polish, installing the bridge, tuners and strings and these babies are ready to sing.
On the left of the picture are parts and pieces of the three concerts that are the next build. They are progressing nicely. I will keep you abreast of their progress in the blog.
Of the "old" tenors, one of them is sold to Bob in Florida and he has convinced me to use bridge pins to attach the strings to the bridge. First time for me but I am kind of intrigued with the look. I have just ordered a set of ebony pins with a mother of pearl (MOP) dot. I also ordered a rosewood set for installation on the "blonde" hope I like them.
Bob has also orderd a MiSi pickup installed. I keep a few on hand for those that want them.
