Meet the newest ukulele tuner to hit the market, The GraphTech "Ratio" tuner. The good folks at GraphTech sent me a trial set of their radical new invention, a six to one turn ratio uke tuner of extreme light weight and excellent function.
It is entirely made of a tough plastic. It is made to fit a 1/2 inch peg head. I mounted one on a scrap of wood and attached a string. I was very impressed with the complete smoothness of its turning no matter how much tension I put on the string. absolutely no slip back. I think they have been very well engineered.
Their gearing system is contained within the circular chamber and the tuner is screwed to the underside of the Peg head.
A simple installation. Just drill the proper sized hole, insert the grooved tuner cap, screw the tuner to the peg head. That finger tip equals just 1/2 inch.
The incredible news is the low cost. A set of four tuners retails for only $29.99.
I have ordered a small inventory for the workshop, and will be happy to sell them for that price plus a few bucks for mailing cost.

I think they will fill an important niche in the market as a quality replacement for friction tuners on older instruments, and a low cost tuner for medium value ukuleles.
'congratulations to GraphTech for an excellent addition to the Ukulele world
