The frets are on, the taper is in, the radius is finished and tomorrow I will glue the fretboard on the Brazilian, Englemann uke. I also have the end cap attached so this uke ought to catch up tomorrow. I sanded in a "J" shaped radius, curved down only on the right hand side of the fretboard. Ought to fit the human finger better.
Just finished sawing around the head plate with the jeweler's saw. Now to touch that up with a fine rasp and this uke will be ready for the final neck shaping. I like the looks of it's redwood top. This uke is going to get Waverly tuners at the buyer's request. I better get them ordered, this one is coming along fast. |
