The frets are on, the taper is in, the radius is finished and tomorrow I will glue the fretboard on the Brazilian, Englemann uke. I also have the end cap attached so this uke ought to catch up tomorrow. I sanded in a "J" shaped radius, curved down only on the right hand side of the fretboard. Ought to fit the human finger better.
| Just finished sawing around the head plate with the jeweler's saw. Now to touch that up with a fine rasp and this uke will be ready for the final neck shaping. I like the looks of it's redwood top. This uke is going to get Waverly tuners at the buyer's request. I better get them ordered, this one is coming along fast. |
