The full moon is just peeking over the mountains behind Bellingham. It is Wednesday, "Ukulele Night" for four of us and our partners. The four of us, "Chip", Judy, Rick and I gather in the workshop at 3:30 to play until 5:00, then upstairs to meet our wives and husbands for a few glasses of wine before going out to dinner. We have done it for several years now, A grand mid week delight.
On this beautiful day we dined at The Hearthfire on a peninsula jutting out into Bellingham Bay with a look to the South East at south Bellingham. As we walked to our car after dinner the moon was just showing in this panorama shot.
It is really incredible how rapidly it rises, and how huge it appears. Here it is above Bornstein's Seafood on the Bellingham waterfront.
Not much to show for the days work in the workshop. Most of the ukulele work was shaping the necks and sanding. More of that before the French Polish can be applied. Stay tuned.
