The Concerts are gone already. #48 is boxed up in the shop ready to be shipped to Maine when the post office opens on Tuesday, Joan bought #46 and took it home this afternoon and here I sit with #47 waiting to be picked up in the morning by Megan from Skagit County. It kind of sad to see your children leave home so early, On the other hand I am delighted that they are all going to loving homes.
I have been playing #48 this evening, warming it up for Megan in the morning and reflecting on what great little ukes these are. I wandered down to the workshop and checked out my supplies. What do you know, I found three walnut concert pinecone necks, three pre cut back blanks, exactly three sides already thinned and cut to shape and I have lots of Englemann Spruce for tops--- so I decided that I will start three more Concert Pinecones in the morning. I am in the finishing stage with the 6 Soprano Pinecones so it is time to get another build cycle started. It is strange how I get the itch to start new ukes just as I begin finishing the previous batch. One of these days I will have some concerts to advertise on the web site, Pre orders for the next three will be accepted. They should be ready by August.
