The first saturday of the month and it was the Bellingham Ukulele Group monthly jam. What a joyful event today. A beautiful clear and almost warm January day, perhaps twenty brand new uke players enjoying the excellent instructions at 2:00 pm, then the gang arrived at 3;00 to jam with the expert leadership of Terry. It was especially a fun day because of the participation of an entire charming family who came to learn and play for the first time. Mom, Dad, three cute kids. We all responded to their obvious joy and Terry was able to get them to come to the front and with the help of a talented member, they led us in The Lion Sleeps tonight. The youngest member was about five years old. Cute-Cute -Cute. A wonderful illustration of the joy of the ukulele.
