Today I devoted to uke building, and made a lot of progress.  After a couple of days away from the workshop my enthusiasm has returned.  Here is what I accomplished
Picture
I needed to make rosewood bridges for the three tenors.  I found a nice piece of Honduran
Rosewood in my stash, and ripped off a number of slabs of the correct thickness.  Smoothed them up on the thickness sander,  ripped them to the correct length and width

Here is a close up of one of the hooks,   with the end-cap now glued on.  lts more sanding to do-but later.

Then I cut the saddle groove  on the table say and using this sled, cut them to length.

shaped them on the sander. I just laid them on the ukes for effect.

I also rough sanded the end caps to fit. when the fretboards are glued on I will be able to finish these necks and perfect the hooks.  I stacked them here so you could see them. Next step. installing frets on the fret boards.
