BRASILIAN ROSEWOOD has long been considered the Holy Grail of instrument woods. I think I am now a believer. I just strung up my first Brazilian uke. Brazilian back and sides and Englemann Spruce top. Oh Wow, this is indeed a wonderful sounding uke. I put Southcoast HML RW strings on it, the same as on my long time favorite uke, a Koa/Englemann Spruce Blonde. This new uke beats it. The jury is still out, I want to play it for a few days, but this might be the best uke I have built. This has been a wonderful class of three tenors, maybe the best I have built.
