One LB. CUT is what the deluted Alcohol/Shellac mixture is called. It refers to the mixture of the liquid. Most of French Polishing is done with a two LB cut mixture but the last final applications are done with a half strength solution, thus one Lb. Cut. These last thinner coats make the instrument shine like it never did before. I got the first of those coats on this morning. I thought you would like to see what they look like now. I also thought you would like to see the back sides with their Master Grade Koa. Koa is the craziest wood. It takes a wonderful finish and every different way you turn this curly koa in the light it shows a different grain pattern. It is just wonderful wood to finish.
