NOW IT IS time for the final touches. Setting the action low as possible to make playing smooth, touching up a little blemish here or there, Putting a final polish on the instrument.
When you lower the action by deepening the notches in the nut and sanding the bottom off the saddle you sometimes find a fret that is a tiny bit higher then its mates and a buzz develops. I found such a buzz and a high fret on #78 -so here is the solution

I black the guilty fret with marker pen, tape off the fretboard to protect it. This fret must be made lower by grinding it down.
This is a fine diamond stone. It slowly takes the fret down to the level of its mates.
You must constantly check with this "rocker level" that spans three frets. It will rock if the center fret is high. When the level no longer rocks you know you have brought the center fret level with the other two.
Once the frets are level you must round the now flattened top of the guilty fret. This file does that job. Then polish it up with a sanding stick with very fine sandpaper.
Now it is time to put the strings back on and see if the buzz is gone.
HOORAY! the buzz is gone, the frets are flat and this uke is ready for the polish.
