Heres the wood selected for our next build. Maple back and sides, bearclaw Spruce soundboard and dark brown binding. ought to be a stunner.
Meanwhile Rick is preparing to install the sides on his first uke. here he paints glue on the butt block.
now glue on the edge
Whew !, and the sides are on. a big step forward
And today I got two ukes strung up. #170 and #171. I am delighted with them both.
Lynne's tenor is Sycamore and Spruce with an Alaska Cedar neck, truly a blonde beauty.
Eva's tenor is East Indian Rosewood and Spruce with a Honduran Mahogany neck.
