'The bindings were bent and ready several days ago, Now it is just a matter of preparing lots of the special binding tape ready to grab quickly.
Then glue is applied to the binding, the ends are carefully trimmed and beveled, and held tightly in place with the sticky tape. Clamps are used to make a good match at the ends where the two binders meet.
Four hours later I took the clamps and the tape off and here was the result. A good fit.
There is still lots of work to be done with scraper and sand paper, but these binding will finish out very nicely. Next is the heel cap, then attaching the fretboard and peg head plate and then the sanding will begin. We are on schedule to get a finished uke to Stuart when he arrives in Anacortes for his gig, on September 29th.
