THE 4TH OF JULY

DAWNED SUNNY and full of the glow of yesterdays accomplishments.    I succeeded in sending sound samples to AUSTRALIA  to an fellow interested in the three tenors that I now have available.  I find it just amazing that you can hurl sound across the ocean so easily.  I recorded a couple of minutes of each ukulele on the new app on my new Iphone and simply emailed them one at a time.  WOW! is that neat.

Then I put two more applications of french polish on the concert pinecones, #s 31,32,33 and then turned to the new builds of 34,35,and 36.    The tops have their sound holes and are sanded to thickness. the spruce braces are whittled and ready for glueing.

I whittle the braces with a sharp knife and you can see I don't get all the shavings in the waste container.

The three tops lack only the cedar hole brace that gets glued behind the sound hole. Maybe i will get that done today-maybe not, its a holiday and we are having friends over.
