TAMBO = a banjo ukulele made with a tambourine. I made one of these fun instruments a couple of years ago and now I am making a couple more, one for a friend who asked for one, the second for myself. It will at least have some aesthetic improvements over the original. These Tambo's are almost done. With the fret boards installed, the "g" head plate on, the butt plate glued up and under clamps. All I need to do now is shape the neck, install the tuners and apply the finish. Here they are with glue setting, and in the vise for neck shaping. You would not believe how well they play.
