# 97, A Cocobolo and Cedar tenor got strung up today, and I am very pleased with it.
Installing the bridge pins using a tapered reamer.
And here it is all strung up. Wonderful clear rich tone, The intonation is spot on. I have been playing this instrument for the last two hours, both with an amplifier and without. It's MiSi pickup is doing a great job. I love the way the pickup lets you really hear the instrument and how you are fretting it. I got the action on this uke nice and low and the playability seems excellent. Roger, you are going to be happy when you get home next week. I will have it warmed up for you.
This instrument has convinced me that from now on I shall build just one ukulele at a time. Previously I built three concurrently but I find by concentrating all of my attention on just one instrument I do a better job, able to concentrate on detail and seek perfection (an impossible goal) more readily. I am really pleased with this instrument and with the wood combination of Cocobolo and Cedar. I have another like it in the very early stages.
