Here is the second tenor being strung up.  One each day gets its strings and gets to sing it's first song.  The Cocobolo/cedar came first.  I love the tone, going to be a great use.
This Rosewood/Redwood is next and we will see how it sounds very soon.

Three stages of completion.

The Cocobolo is sounding mighty good.  Got to lower the action a hair and install a MiSi pickup

Hi Brian,

In the second photo, the fret placement of the middle one (with clamps) seems different from the last one (without the bridge). That is, looking at the frets from the beginning of the body towards the sound hole. Is this an illusion from the photo, or by design? They do sparkle.

Roger, you have a sharp eye! There is a difference, by design. I have made that neck to extend 1/4 inch farther south, thus the saddle is that much farther into the broad part of the body. I think it should make for more vibration, thus more sound. A subtile change, we will see if it makes a difference. Building instruments is about learning and experimentation. I just put an extra fret in.

Cool. I thought it was an illusion, and I was bothering you with unnecessary questions. Have the 3 redwoods been designated to individuals yet? If not I am up to the new design. Of course, I'll be happy with whichever one you choose.
