We looked out this morning to see another four inches of snow. Looks like another workshop day.
I think I will start with setting the bridge on another uke. The narrow end of this guide is clamped firmly at the center of the zero fret. The saddle touches the other end.
I always slant the saddle position like this to achieve proper intonation. The 4, 3, and 2 strings become a little longer. once the location is established blue tape is placed to save the location and prevent the bridge from slipping when glued and clamped.
and to define the area that must be scraped clear of finish so the glue will contact bare wood.
It is also time to attach the Gotah tuners. These excellent tuners are simply threaded together, simple, solid and firm.
Firm them up with the proper wrench and the job is done. Gotah UPT tuners are made in Japan
