It must have been Spring Fever that got us. Today we moved our regular wednesday afternoon jam from my workshop to the lovely little bandstand at Boulevard Park. It was quite different playing outdoors. We did not have throngs of people gathered around throwing coins at our feet nor applauding our music but I don't think we offended any one, and a couple of people said kind words. Left to right are John the fiddle player, Jack, me, Rick and Judy. We had a lot of fun. Thats Bellingham Bay in the background.
Look at the charming mural on the back wall of the band stand. It was built a few years ago by Cascade Joinery as a gift to the community. A very cute and attractive place to strum a ukulele. I have wanted to do this for years. | We enjoyed having John the fiddle player join us today. The fiddle adds a strong melody line to the ukes. |
