I spent a lot of the afternoon carving on the Fiddlehead and preparing it for attachment to the neck. I got it fitted and have epoxied the two together,
In the morning I will begin shaping the neck and rounding the back to fit the hand and to look graceful. The tuners are properly fitted now and only need their final installation with a drop of glue once all the other work on the fiddleback is done. There is still lots of carving to refine the piece. Then lots of sanding of this very tough maple. This is a really fun project- stay tuned.
