This starts with sanding the top of the neck that will support the fret board PERFECTLY flat. Once that plane is established all else can follow.
Once the plane is established you measure to the break point where the nut ends and the angle begins. Then that surface is sanded flat. Now it is time to measure and mark for the cuts that will be made for the sides.
Now is the time to thin down the peg head and sand it smooth ready for the etched pinecone plate
Here they are, sanded, angled, measured and marked. Once the side cuts are made on the band saw it will be time to begin shaping the necks with rasps and scrapers.
