REDWOOD RECOVERED

MY FRIEND PAUL CALLED ME  a few months ago and offered some redwood that he had torn out during a bathroom remodel.  I selected a few pieces and built a tenor uke using some of his Redwood as tone wood.  The uke turned out to have a lovely tone, I was impressed with my first effort with Redwood.   I called him recently and asked if I could cherry pick any Redwood pieces he still had.  I came home with this nice stack of quarter sawn Redwood.  Each one of these pieces will make one tenor uke top.  If I can tune my bandsaw properly, maybe more.  Just goes to show you that good instrument wood can be found in the strangest places, even bathrooms.

Enough Redwood for at least nine ukes here
