I HAVE A CLIENT WHO HAS ORDERED a quilt maple uke, back and sides with a cedar top. I am finding myself tending toward simpler woods set off with fancy bindings and a touch or two of bling maybe in the head stock. This highly figured quilt just came off the sander and I hit it with a bit of alcohol to see the pattern. What do you think? I have invited him up to see this wood before I begin his uke. You either love this stuff or you hate it.
