I am delighted to report that the second pinecone was committed yesterday with a $100 deposit to purchase the second pick of the litter of the three Concert Pinecones under construction. This one is a birthday present for a lovely young co-od, a sophomore at Walla Walla University in the same town where I attended Whitman College many years ago. Gives me a sense of pleasure to think of one of my ukes being played in that charming small town in South Eastern Washington formerly known for sweet onions, fine educational institutions and lovely street trees, Now famous for great wines. Hang tight, your uke should be ready for the 4th of July giving you lots of time to practice before heading back for the Fall term.
