Before gluing on the back it is wise to install a couple of veneer patches to reinforce a few spots.
Thin veneer is glued across the glued center line of the back;
And another veneer patch surrounds the sound hole, the patch grain runs across the grain of the top. Now the back can be glued on and this uke is "boxed".
