No time in the workshop today. Time to put up the Christmas decor, and at our house it starts with The Partridge in the pear tree. At our old home we had a real pear tree espaliered on the garage wall outside our back door. Years ago I carved each of the legendary figures and now we hang them on a metal pear tree at our new home. a Christmas tradition.

Calling birds co-exist with drummers and gold rings
Lots of ladies dancing amid the pears
And Maids A milking
These Lords are Leaping over the Geese A Laying
And among all these drummers and pipers piping there isn't a ukulele player strumming
