NOT MUCH TIME IN THE WORKSHOP on this day. I helped out my sculptor friend Bob McDermott get this old City Bench to the bronze foundry in Tacoma. I drove them in my van and here we have delivered it to "Two Ravens" art foundry. The bench will be replicated in bronze and Bob is sculpting the statue of J.J. Donovan who will be sitting on the bench. Big bench, big project.
I did have time this evening to put the first of the dilute shellac applications on the concerts and they are really shining now. The final three coats are diluted 50% and that really makes the finish shine. In a couple of days now I will be glueing on the saddles and stringing these lovely little creatures up. I am really eager to hear them.
The next build series is forming on the back of the table. Three tenors and two banjo ukuleles.
