All of the major pieces are roughed out now, the tops, the backs, the sides, the necks, even the spalted maple peg head plates and the fret boards. Now the fun begins, shaping the necks, making the rosette, bending the sides. This is when the artistry begins, this is when the joy of instrument making turns from labor to delight. I am eager to see what I can do with a classic concert, they seem to be favored by so many. I know my Pinecone concert is a wonderful uke. I hope these will be as good. stay tuned.
