I never did quite finish the French Polish on the two string bass although I got a good protective coating on it.

I have come to really like this big brute. It has great tone and I am getting more and more comfortable playing it. Now I want it to look its best so I am applying more coats of French Polish and will soon do the wet sanding
It is looking pretty shiny now, but after the final applications of dilute shellac and some polish this baby will really shine.
I am having a nice padded gig bag made for it that will hopefully protect against the inevitable bangs and scratches. Should be ready in a couple of weeks-so I want to get the finish done by then.
