I had little time for the workshop today, but I still got a little done.
The butt plate got shaped and attached. Here is sits under the clamp. An example of why it is helpful to have a lip on your work table.
And I got the fretboard tapered to a 1 1/2 inch at the nut and two inches at the top. I even got the dots installed top and side.
There is something about Puaia abalone that just intrigues me. So once again I use it for the dots.
I even got the tiny side dots installed. I like these to be almost hard to see, still visible but not obtrusive. They are simply white plastic rod inserted into a drilled hole in the side, cut off and fixed in place with a drop of thin superglue.
