Now the French Polish begins.
With a Cedar soundboard and the wonderful spalted Maple from the Fountain District Maple this is a very interesting ukulele. Lets hope it sounds as good as it looks.
Because the spalted wood is a little fragile I doubled the sides with a thin layer of mahogany veneer. I think it will even improve the sound reflective qualities of the instrument.
Did you notice the interesting instrument stand. You can make them yourself. They interlock-easily come apart to fit in your gig bag, and with the strip of marine non-skid glued on with contact cement provide stable support for your uke.
